Curtis McLemore has been selected as the new Assistant Director at TCAT Covington and TCAT Ripley. Curtis graduated from the Tennessee Technology Center at Covington (former name of Tennessee College of Applied Technology Covington) in May 1997 from the Machine Shop program. While working in private industry Curtis held the titles of Machinist/CNC Programmer, Instrument Maker, Design Engineer/R& D Project and Tool and Die Maker.  Curtis went to work as an instructor at TTC-Memphis in October 2011 and transferred to TCAT Covington effective September 2013 as the Machine Tool Technology Instructor.

Since leaving TTC–Covington in 1997 Curtis completed his AAS Degree and Bachelor of Science Degree from Bethel University. Other professional development includes completing all twelve areas of the Level I National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) Credential. Currently working towards his MBA.

Curtis is currently serving as a Skills USA Advisor at TCAT Covington and was a SkillsUSA Machine Tool Coach while at TTC Memphis which resulted in his students winning a Gold Medal at the 2013 TN SkillsUSA Conference and Fourth place in the 2013 National SkillsUSA Conference.

Curtis has been active for several years as a Dixie Youth boy’s baseball coach, competitive traveler’s  baseball and a Dixie Girls and competitive softball coach, youth basketball coach and has participated for several athletic fundraising sports events.

Curtis is a member of Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church in Ripley TN where is active with the youth group.  Curtis is married with four children and would like to note that his wife Nicole (Griggs) McLemore is also a graduate from the TCAT Ripley Practical Nursing program.  She also continued her education and received her RN.
