TCAT-Covington celebrated the 2016-2017 academic year with a Fall Celebration on Tuesday, September 13, 2016.  Students were served a breakfast sandwich and juice.  They also received My Future is so Bright sunglasses and a pocket US Constitution.  Ms. Youlanda Jones, Director, welcomed the students.  Assistant Director, Mr. Curtis McLemore, recognized the community leaders who were in attendance: Dr. Lynn Goodman, Tennessee Board of Regents Associate Vice Chancellor for Operations; Justin Hanson, City of Covington Mayor; Sara Pinner Gangaware, City of Covington Mayor's Assistant; Teresa Johnson, Tennessee Career Centers; Dr. John Combs, Tipton County Schools Assistant Superintendent; Rosemary Bridges, South Tipton County Chamber of Commerce; Robin Robin Hayes Sealy, Workforce Development Coordinator; David Channell, Rose Fabricating; Katie Kabary, Indmar Products Human Resource; Glen Baker, Retired TCAT Covington. 

Ms. Amanda Heath, Student Services Coordinator, spoke about the importance of the TN Promise and TN Reconnect grants. Mr. Will Somerville, HVACR student, spoke about the impact TN Reconnect has had on his training. 

We closed the program with celebrating Constitution Day.  Faculty, staff, and students said the Pledge of Allegiance, Preamble, and competed in Constitutional Trivia.
